Commission clears acquisition of Deep Well Services by ADRILL and ADH
The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Deep Well Services Holdings L.L.C. of the US by ADNOC Drilling Company P.J.S.C. (‘ADRILL’) and Alpha Dhabi Holding P.J.S.C. (‘ADH’), both of the UAE.
The transaction relates primarily to the support activities for petroleum and natural gas extraction.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the limited impact on the European Economic Area. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
